Malin Enström

Malin Enström (she/her) was born in Stockholm, Sweden, and has lived and worked in Europe, North Africa and Canada. She is a criminologist, analyst and researcher, based in St. John’s, NL. She has focused her career on supporting and empowering individuals from marginalized groups and designing and implementing violence prevention initiatives.
Malin completed a Master’s Degree from Memorial University in 2007 and worked with law enforcement for nearly a decade. She has extensive experience conducting intimate partner violence risk assessments, interventions and crime prevention for victims of violence and abuse.
Malin’s research focus is on gender-based violence, intimate partner violence and cultural violence. She is currently giving conference presentations and lectures on intimate partner violence and honor related violence in Canada.
